Thunderchief serial number 00 (stamped on the off side of the blade).
Here's the options on this one:
5/32” 0-1 tool steel
varied height grind (flat/convex with secondary edge)
Red canvas micarta scales (inner bevel front)
Black canvas micarta reverse bolsters
thin white spacers
Blade length about 4 7/8”
Handle length about 4/34”
This knife is inspired by the F105 Thunderchief fighter bomber. I love the jet aircraft of the 1950’s so that’s why this knife exists. That and I also wanted to make another knife available in the 5” blade range since I only have one at this point. This one is really pointy so no prying with it, but it should be a plus for all you wood carvers out there. The overall shape imitates the fuselage of the F105. Along with that I gave a nod in a couple other places: 1, is the black reverse bolster which is meant to imitate the jet fan on the back of the F105. 2, The bevels on the inner side of the front of the scales (along with the shape of the front of the scales) imitate the air intakes on the Thunderchief.
Comes with a Turley Protect-o-plate, numbers matching the blade.
Number 1 warranty on handle, Number 4 warranty on blade. (see catalog for warranty descriptions)
